    Manager, Grants Administration Services - Full-Time 14 month Temporary

    Alberta Innovates is seeking a professional to fill the role of Manager, Grants Administration Services. The ideal candidate will provide strategic oversight, leadership, guidance, and support to the Grants Administration Services team. Collaboration with staff in investment program areas, Legal, and Finance departments is essential in providing advice and administrative direction for investment applications and associated Agreements.

    • Extensive experience in administering grants or contracts, ensuring audit compliance and optimizing processes

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead day-to-day operations of the Grants Administration Services team
    • Establish team goals, monitor productivity, ensure policy adherence, and manage workflow
    • Develop employee professional development plans, provide mentorship, and ensure high performance
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and business optimization
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance grants administration services
    • Manage budget, authorize expenditures, and ensure timely reporting
    • Participate in committees and working groups to support operational priorities

    Requirements:

    • Post-secondary education in Business Management, Legal, or Contract Management
    • Minimum 8 years of grant administration or related experience
    • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
    • Knowledge of funding/service application processes and relevant policies
    • Skills in dispute resolution, strategic planning, stakeholder management, and decision-making
