Role Profile


The Blending Operator will report directly to the Brewing Manager and is responsible for operation of beverage blending equipment, operation of an industrial GEA HB2 centrifuge to filter beverages and operation of an automated CIP system to clean tanks in preparation for filtration and blending.

They are additionally responsible to maintain carbonation, quality and consistency of all products in preparation of packaging - as well as the identification and flagging of product quality issues.

The Blending Operator is expected to exhibit quality, efficiency and consistency in their work.


Role Details

  • Full time, permanent
  • Weekend, day shifts
  • Potential for 8/10/12 hour shifts
  • Shifts will be concentrated across Friday
  • Saturday
  • Sunday
  • Monday
  • Hours of Work: Shifts will not run before 6am and will not extend past 11pm
  • Immediate start available

A typical day as a Blending Operator includes:

  • Operation of 120hL Blending vessel equipment including steeping vessels.
  • Operation of a GEA HB2 centrifuge.
  • CIP of BBTs, Blending equipment and centrifuge.
  • Lifting and handling of raw ingredients including flavors, concentrates, sugars, acids, teas and other ingredients common in the manufacture of beverages.
  • Provide feedback on recipes, product quality, machinery function and automation function.
  • Maintaining a clean brewhouse and facility
  • Being a key component of the CAB quality program.
  • Carbonation of beverages
  • Working with junior operators on practice related to the Blending Operators duties.
  • Follow the supervisor's or the team leader's directives on priority or process.
  • Brewing specific postsecondary education is an asset
  • 1+ years' work experience in a brewery/brewpub environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of materials and equipment used within beer and beverage production
  • A selfstarter with great energy and true passion for craft beverages
  • Professional attitude and high level of attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment

Physical Requirements:


  • Highly repetitive and/or monotonous tasks
  • Carrying, lifting heavy items, transferring, lifting pushing items, operating heavy equipment, maintaining one position for a prolonged period
  • Ability to lift 25kgs repetitively throughout a shift
  • Standing for long periods of time in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to work in a high temperature or cold environment
