Description

The Inventory Lead reports to the Planning Supervisor and provides supervisory oversight to site warehouses and is responsible for inventory buying at Carseland Nitrogen plant.


What you will do:

  • Manage inventory replenishment procurement including;
  • Sourcing and buying of inventory parts
  • Issue out Price and Availability(P&A) or RFQ to quote pricing and issue Purchase Orders (PO)
  • Auto PO items that are on Outline Agreement Contract
  • Tracking deliveries and expedite reporting
  • Resolving quantity, invoicing, quality issues with vendors
  • Provide safety leadership to warehouse technicians
  • Supervise warehouse technicians ensure warehouse function is operating efficiently
  • Ensure warehouse functions such as material receiving, issuing, & cycle counting to more indepth activities such as inventory reorganization & managing turnaround material are complete
  • Review inventory data to ensure inventory level remain at functional level to meet plant needs
  • Manage repairable spare process
  • Manage material reliability program quality control all alloyed pressure components and other designated parts
  • Facilitate vendor manage inventory (VMI) program make adjustments to "free issue" vs. vending machine issue.
  • Conduct safety audits in site warehouse and job task observations on site workers
  • Provide procurement specific support to plant colleagues to complete material requisitions correctly and completely
  • Material updates, requests, changes and approvals through Spares Finder
  • Lead warehouse team through turnarounds includes managing contractor resources, kitting of parts and turnaround tent operation

What you will bring:

  • Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software, and forecasting techniques.
  • An analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
  • Previous leadership experience is preferred
  • Outstanding organizational and problemsolving skills.
  • Communication and leadership abilities.
