Summary
As a Marketing & Social media coordinator, you will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract more customers and promote our brand.
*This role will be onsite for the first six (6) months of service and then reviewed further with the manager for hybrid opportunity.
Job Duties
- Develop, implement and measure external and internal Social Media based communication plans including social media posts, blogs, white papers etc.
- Coordinate an optimal posting calendar, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
- Design posts to sustain readers' curiosity and create buzz around new products, acquisitions, new production capabilities etc.
- Design and write strong appealing internal and external communications by coordinating input from across the organization and a variety of stakeholders
- Photography and videography as required for upcoming events or occasions to be utilized for company website and social media
- Measure web traffic and monitor SEO
- Analyze metrics and trends for each platform for ongoing monthly, quarterly and annual statistics
- Continuous improvement on the social media platforms, with the ability to change course of action and implement new strategies to best elevate the brand.
- Assist / lead in holiday and company events and communications
- Assist in the development and implementation of Brand PR programs to support brand building initiatives/innovation/corporate promotions.
- Stay uptodate with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
- Research audience preferences and discover current trends
- Report on online reviews and feedback from customers
- Oversee social media accounts' layout
- Develop and manage internal/external corporate and local community events in support of corporate giving strategy.
- Other duties as assigned in the context of the Marketing Team
Requirements:
- Proven work 3 years as a Social media coordinator/ management experience
- Expertise in multiple social media platforms including but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Tik Tok.
- Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication with strong professional writing and editorial abilities.
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, video etc.)
- Expertise in design content utilizing software such as photoshop, adobe, and other platforms for editing and posting
- Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
- Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
- Excellent communication skills
- Multitasking and analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English or a related discipline is preferred
- Must have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
- Must be capable of maintaining confidentiality, with a high level of accuracy regarding information.
- The ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work effectively with all levels of employees is important.
- Bilingual in French is an asset

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Social media management: 1 year (required)
Adobe Photoshop: 1 year (preferred)
