Title of Position:

Replacement Professor at the rank of Assistant Professor in any one of the following areas: Entrepreneurship & Innovation; Business Analytics & Information Systems; Organizational Behaviour & Human Resources; Accounting.

The incumbent will teach courses primarily in French.

Terms:
Non-Tenure-track position for a two-year term.


Duties:

Duties of the faculty member will mainly include teaching, course coordination, and leading experiential learning activities at Telfer.

The faculty member will also help with alignment of course curriculum with various accreditation and certification initiatives such as PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education), CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional), BTMAC (Business Technology Management Accreditation Council) and CPA (Chartered Professional Accountancy).


Teaching activities:

  • Coordinate and teach foundational (1st and 2nd year) and advanced (3rd and 4th year) courses in the undergraduate BCom program, and in the MBA program.
  • Coordinate and deliver experiential learning activities in the undergraduate program. Such activities may include live case competitions, simulations, international projects, and guest speakers.
  • Contribute to the integration of requirements of various accreditation bodies in course curriculum.

Research activities:

  • Regularly engage in pedagogical research projects and contribute to scholarship of teaching and learning.
  • Serve as a primary lead on experiential learning initiatives at the school and use this experience to contribute to scholarship of teaching and learning.

Academic service activities:

Requirements:


  • Ph.
D.

in an area related to one of the following business disciplines:
Entrepreneurship & Innovation; Business Analytics; Information Systems; Organizational Behaviour; Human Resources; Accounting.- Bilingual (French and English).

The faculty member will be required to teach primarily in French (at least 70%).- At least 7 years of teaching experience in a business school setting, with courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.- Demonstrated teaching excellence in teaching undergraduate large and small class sizes as well as graduate level courses.- Experience teaching in executive programs for senior business executives would be considered an asset.- Successful track record in delivery of experiential learning activities such as case competitions and simulations.- Familiarity with program certification requirements of a relevant professional accreditation body would be considered an asset.- Evidence of regular disciplinary and/or pedagogical research activities and outputs.
