Position description:
The Institute of Parasitology (IoP) at McGill University

) seeks to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor with expertise in Parasite Immunology. The appointee will hold a Ph.
D.

or equivalent with a demonstrated record of research success in the broad area of immunology of parasitic infections of human or veterinary importance and with potential for excellence in teaching.

Applicants with a history of excellent publications, a record of grant success, and research on new or emerging zoonotic protozoan or helminth diseases are especially encouraged to apply.

The appointee will develop a strong research program supported by external funds and participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching at McGill within the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences

). Broad research themes at the IoP include analysis of host-parasite interactions from immunological, nutritional, and biochemical perspectives (including vaccine development and development of antigen-based diagnostic assays); drug discovery and development; analysis of the mechanisms of antiparasitic drug resistance; neurobiology and neuropharmacology of helminths; and basic cell and molecular biology of parasites. The IoP is a diverse and highly collaborative community with diversity, equity, and inclusion at the core of its mission.
