Are you a skilled and experienced Floor Layer looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise? Join our team at Presidential Management Group as a Floor Layer and contribute to the creation of stunning and functional flooring installations.
We are seeking a talented individual with a passion for quality craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail.Responsibilities:
- Install a variety of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, and carpet
- Prepare the work area by removing existing flooring, ensuring proper subfloor preparation, and addressing any imperfections or uneven surfaces
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit the space accurately, ensuring precise and seamless installations
- Perform flooring layout and create appealing patterns or designs as per preferences and project specifications
- Ensure proper alignment, levelness, and spacing during installation to achieve a professional finish
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in the installation process
- Adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards throughout the flooring installation process
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Floor Layer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work
- Proficient knowledge of different flooring materials, installation techniques, and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Excellent understanding of subfloor preparation, including leveling, moisture barriers, and insulation
- Familiarity with a wide range of flooring tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measuring, cutting, and fitting flooring materials
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and maneuver heavy flooring materials
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to find creative solutions during installation challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, ensuring projects are completed within set timelines
Salary:
$25.00-$45.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Peachland, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- flooring installation: 3 years (preferred)
