You have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline; comparable experience in lieu of degree may be considered.

You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields.

You have worked in a closely related role for at least 5
years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.


Who You Are

You may have also acquired the following skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Nuclear Supply Chain and experience working with product and service suppliers in the Nuclear industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain management field, processes and procedures.
  • Commodity management experience.
  • Experience with SAP enterprise system.
  • Experience with procurement plan development.

As a Buyer in Pickering or Kincardine, Ontario (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit.


Your work will include:

  • Responsible for ensuring that the requisition of services, materials and equipment are obtained at the Lowest Cost of Ownership (TCO) consistent with set standards of safety, quality, delivery and service via the following:
  • Ensures that project procurement requirements are understood and that procured products and services meet lead time, quality and cost requirements
  • Responsible for purchase order generation and execution
  • Engages and coordinates with business managers to implement appropriate commodity/supply strategies
  • Participates as key member of Cross Functional Team on supplier procurement activities
  • Assists with development of contract negotiation strategies
  • Gathers and reports metrics to assess effectiveness of purchasing operations
  • Performs spend and commodity analysis
  • Actively engages in supplier negotiations and implementation of commodity framework agreements
  • Displays business acumen in communication with colleagues, suppliers and customers

The position provides all levels of Purchasing support associated with the various company functions, outage related business and projects to support work performed by the Canada Installed-Base business unit.
