This is a full-time one-year term leave replacement position.


Additional tasks that the Student Information Support role is responsible for include running Student Experience of Instruction reports for the School of Kinesiology; assisting with exam scheduling each term, requiring the collection of course outlines and exam request forms for Instructors in the School; and collating reference letters with student academic history documents in support of the adjudication of scholarships and awards in the School of Kinesiology.

Participation in the setup and real-time administration of online webinars in support of student advising may be required.


During Workday Student testing stages, develops understanding of user test cases and assists with functional testing; supports quality assurance efforts; records test results and any deviances from expected outcomes.

Supports the development of training documentation for the Student Information Support area for future state in Workday Student. Supports data quality and validation by entering and editing student information in both old and new student systems. Verifies accuracy of information in both systems, escalates any inconsistencies to the Manager, Undergraduate Programming & Advising.

  • Provides support to the Graduate Program Coordinator in answering inquiries in relation to entry requirements for graduate programs in the School of Kinesiology
Performs other duties as required.
Consequence of Error/Judgement

The main function of this position is to serve the needs of undergraduate students (90%) & provide support for grad students at (10%).

As a front-line position for the School of Kinesiology, the public relations aspect of this position is critical to the reputation of the School both within and outside the University community and to the progress of students in pursuit of their studies.

Requires a thorough understanding of a wide range of policies. Information must be accurate and provided in a respectful and timely manner.

Failing to understand fully a student s request could result in a student being unable to register in a required course.

Providing inappropriate or confidential information to unauthorized individuals could result in damage to the School s reputation. This role requires a high attention to detail, exceptional organizational abilities, and superb customer service and communication skills.
Supervision Received
Receives direction and work assignments from the Undergraduate Program Administrator & Grad Program Coordinator. Work is done under general supervision; performs most duties independently and in accordance with established procedures.
Supervision Given
May supervise work learn students or student assistants.
