Reporting to the Director, the Manager of the SCM Procurement Operations Department will provide strategic leadership and
management of all human, financial, and physical resources for the Procurement Operations Department. The Department Manager
will contribute to developing and implementing the divisional strategic business plan, promoting corporate strategy, and providing
leadership and direction to department staff while collaborating with stakeholders from across the Enterprise. The Manager will place
the highest priority on employee health & wellness and continuously strive to improve employee experience and create a culture of
safety innovation and teamwork.


_Responsibilities:
_


  • Lead a staff of over 30 fulltime equivalent employees and ensure staff have the necessary skills, knowledge, and training to
foster a positive work culture while successfully delivering on enterprise and department goals.

  • Manage departmental resources effectively by identifying efficiencies and best practices for the department, with a focus on
innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure $700 million (excluding Major Capital Projects) in annual purchasing of goods and services is conducted in a fair,
transparent, and non-discriminatory manner while maintaining high legal, ethical, and professional standards and strict
adherence to Corporate Policies and applicable Trade Agreements.

  • Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Logistics Team in the event of emergencies, system outages, storms,
and natural disasters with direct responsibility for emergency procurement needs (temporary camps and catering,
transportation, fuel, accommodations, and human necessities). Must be able to calmly manage these highly stressful,
unpredictable, and critically important events that directly influence restoration efforts.

  • Negotiate and manage complex and confidential issues with extreme sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors and stay abreast of global supply chain challenges,
- economic conditions, and market dynamics.
  • Create a longterm vision and build integrated strategies, taking into consideration planning, forecasting and escalation, that
- generate sustained value for the enterprise.
  • Build or acquire the organizational capabilities to effectively execute the organization's strategies.
  • Foster a culture focused on safety, innovation and teamwork, ensure a respectful workplace is always maintained, recognize
- the diversity of the workforce, and look for initiatives that will improve the employee experience.
  • Manage annual KPI's related to FTE, O&E, and Capital cost to plus/minus 3% of approved budgets.

  • The successful applicant must have a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Business, Commerce, or Economics, plus nine years
of directly related experience.

  • Knowledge of core operations, including procuring resources, forecasting, and scheduling, delivering products/services,
- maintaining and improving quality.
  • Experience across corporate functional areas, lines of business, and geographies, and across multiple areas of the

- enterprise's value chain.
  • Capable of courageous decisions, managing disappointment and conflict in communicating with nonsuccessful vendors and

- suppliers.
  • Ability to provide strategic leadership in planning, organizing, and managing multiple activities, including developing and
- evaluating budget estimates and timelines.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with exceptional communication, and people skills and the ability to establish and maintain
- effective working relationships with senior management, key stakeholders, vendors, suppliers, and industry counterparts.
