Location is flexible, within Alberta, dependent on the successful applicant.

Reporting to the Manager of Business Intelligence, the GIS Summer Student will be working in a team environment contributing to the spatial data exploration and other GIS initiatives


Primary responsibility involves:

  • Identify external data sources (spatial data) for AFSC's business uses
  • Perform exploratory data analysis on GIS and Remote Sensing data for other analytical use
  • Able to work on projects involving Experience Builder and Dashboards
  • Support spatial data management


Over the summer, you will develop a level of familiarity with all AFSC programs and processes, while gaining experience with the data and its business use.


  • Preference will be given to those with prior experience in the ArcGIS Applications.
  • Experience and understanding of statistical methodologies will be an asset.
  • Experience in agricultural industry will be considered an asset.

Wage:

$ $27.79
