We are looking for a dynamic, customer-focused self-starter who thrives in an environment of innovation and wants to make a meaningful contribution to our community As a member of the Town's Financial Services Team, you will take a "Community First" approach to coordinating the accounts receivable process, including financial charges, payments, and adjustments in order to ensure a timely and accurate revenue stream for the Town of Innisfil.


The Financial Services Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Processing accounts receivable billings for developer and other related third-party recoverable activities undertaken by the Town.
  • Reconciliating various revenue related general ledger accounts including deposits and development charges.
  • Responding to customer inquiries and providing information or clarification to ensure timely resolution to issues and payment of amounts billed.
  • Investigating discrepancies for all accounts receivable transactions and generating monthly statements for all accounts receivable customers with outstanding balances.
  • Providing assistance with the preparation of revenue related audit working papers and analysis.
  • Acting as backup for the Accounts Payable Specialist and assists in other areas of Revenue & Financial Services as and when required.


  • Job Requirements

  • Three (3) year postsecondary education Community College diploma in Business Administration, majoring in accounting.
  • Minimum of three (3) years work experience in an accounting environment; preferably in a municipal environment.
  • Successful completion of the Municipal Tax Administration Program and Municipal Administration Program an asset.
  • Knowledge of specific accounting requirements, including the public sector accounting board (PSAB) and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Valid Class 'G' Driver's license and reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.
  • Availability to attend evening meetings or other events, if necessary.
