There is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join the
Construction team in
Vancouver as a Rigger. This role will be responsible for maintaining all rigging equipment and will require a high standard of safety.

What Will You Do?

  • Attach rigging to material and equipment to prepare for moving with chains, shackles, web slings, chokers and or straps
  • Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
  • Must be able to perform quick load calculations
  • Determine angles and position of rigging to ensure all loads are safe and secure during lift
  • Must be able to perform quantity counts of equipment (incoming and outgoing)
  • Maintain the onsite riggers log book on a daily basis
  • Communicate with other trades as to positioning of their materials within the project boundaries and floor to floor
  • Must be able to communicate directions to crane operator while load is "in the blind"
  • Follow all project policies and working rules
- ensure all that all work scope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment


What You Bring.

  • Minimum two (25) years of construction experience as a Rigger, working on a variety of job sites including commercial and multiresidential
  • Experience with multiple crane sites is an asset
  • Must be willing to work overtime during regular work week and Saturday's
  • Must have valid rigging certificate or Letter of Competence
  • Must hold a valid fall protection certificate
  • Staying alert and maintain a high level of concentration
  • Ability to work with hand and power carpentry tools and other construction equipment
  • Ability to assess situations and identify potential hazards
  • Represent the company, resolving customer concerns and keeping a positive attitude
