There is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join the
Construction team in
Vancouver as a Rigger. This role will be responsible for maintaining all rigging equipment and will require a high standard of safety.

What Will You Do?

Attach rigging to material and equipment to prepare for moving with chains, shackles, web slings, chokers and or straps
Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
Must be able to perform quick load calculations
Determine angles and position of rigging to ensure all loads are safe and secure during lift
Must be able to perform quantity counts of equipment (incoming and outgoing)
Maintain the onsite riggers log book on a daily basis
Communicate with other trades as to positioning of their materials within the project boundaries and floor to floor
Must be able to communicate directions to crane operator while load is "in the blind"
Follow all project policies and working rules

- ensure all that all work scope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment

What You Bring.

Minimum two (25) years of construction experience as a Rigger, working on a variety of job sites including commercial and multiresidential
Experience with multiple crane sites is an asset
Must be willing to work overtime during regular work week and Saturday's
Must have valid rigging certificate or Letter of Competence
Must hold a valid fall protection certificate
Staying alert and maintain a high level of concentration
Ability to work with hand and power carpentry tools and other construction equipment
Ability to assess situations and identify potential hazards
Represent the company, resolving customer concerns and keeping a positive attitude
