About the Role
DDS Wireless International is looking for a HR Generalist to join our team.

This position will promote a positive and supportive workplace while providing an excellent employee experience to the people of DDS.

The person will be a successful HR Generalist if they are agile and enjoy collaborating with a diverse and dynamic team of people aligned with the company's goals and values.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for all people inquires from employees and managers.
  • Advise and educate employees on DDS programs, benefits, policies, and workplace issues.
  • Administer and process new hire documentation, departure packages, compensation, benefits, departmental and position changes, and vacation & sick day eligibility.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed relating to benefits administration, preparation of employment verifications, and the maintenance of accurate and uptodate employee records.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to recruit exceptional talent at all levels that are excited to be a part of small, diverse, and dynamic team.
  • Onboard employees with a comprehensive onboarding experience.
  • Update HR Generalist policies and programs to ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations and to attract, enable, retain talent, continuously improving the employee experience, and enhance overall engagement.
  • Creation of all HR Generalist reminders for any important followups, future dates, and employee events.
  • Maintain and update the HRIS to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare company wide communications to introduce new employees and keep people informed of people related activities.
  • Deliver and track the company wide quarterly goal setting and Annual Performance Management program while providing coaching, training and support to managers and employees.
  • Generate reports to extract data and develop insights for tracking key HR Generalist metrics for reporting as requested.
  • Lead the company social committee and annual people activities including service awards.
  • Perform additional duties or take on HR projects as required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a specialization in Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum three years of experience as an HR Generalist/Specialist/Advisor
  • Active and in good standing CPHR or SHRM certification
  • Demonstrate indepth knowledge of HR best practices.
  • Good knowledge of HR practices, policies, and legislation, including BC Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Legislation and Washington State Employment Laws with an understanding of confidentiality and the ability to demonstrate discretion relating to people matters.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills complemented with strong organizational skills and the aptitude to followup.
  • A high degree of versatility, flexibility, and an enthusiasm about working with constantly changing priorities.
  • Readily adaptable, maintains a sense of urgency, meets established timelines and able to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and HRIS (ADP experience is an asset).
  • Experience working in an organization with a global presence.
  • Exposure working in a startup software environment will be preferred.
  • Willing to take on tasks outside of the typical scope of an HR professional if needed.

Working At DDS


This is an on-site position working five days physically in our Vancouver office and then may transition to a hybrid arrangement of 1 or 2 days remote.


The range for this position is $50,000.00 to $70, We offer a very attractive and competitive compensation package includes a comprehensive benefits package, combined with variety, challenge and scope to the position to develop your career in this fast-moving international organization.
