Your main responsibility will be to lead your direct reports and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute short-term and long-term plans for the Snacking brands and portfolio.

You will be a key driver in identifying market trends, consumer needs, and opportunities to enhance and drive growth in those segments across Vachon, Hostess, Sara Lee, Big Daddy and future brands into the Canadian marketplace.

As the Marketing Director, you play a critical role in shaping the success of the business you work on.

This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, consumer understanding, creativity, and strong leadership to drive growth and brand excellence in a competitive marketplace.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company's objectives, including brand positioning, product launches, and long-term growth plans.

Market Research: Conduct market research to identify consumer insights, industry trends, competitive analysis, and emerging opportunities. Utilize this data to inform marketing strategies.

Product Management: Oversee product lifecycle management, from concept to retirement, including pricing strategies, SKU optimization, and innovation pipelines.

Brand Management: Maintain and enhance brand equity by ensuring consistent messaging, brand identity, and visual representation across all marketing channels.

Advertising and Promotion: Plan and execute advertising campaigns, promotions, and marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness and sales growth. Manage advertising budgets effectively.

Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales tools, trade marketing strategies, and promotional materials to support sales efforts and achieve distribution and revenue goals.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, supply chain, and finance, to ensure alignment and successful product launches.

Performance Analytics: Use data-driven insights and KPIs to measure and analyze marketing campaign effectiveness, sales performance, and consumer behavior. Adjust strategies as needed based on results.

Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience in marketing roles, preferably within the consumer packaged goods or FMCP industry
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to lead a marketing team effectively
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to strategic ideas in a clear and compelling manner
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and commercialize and execute product launches
  • Familiarity with market research, competitive analysis, and consumer insights
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities, with creative problem solving.
  • Having working knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset but not a requirement
  • Travel is a requirement of the role and ranges between 1520% of your time
