Job definition:


Reporting to the sales director, the sales coordinator will take an active and hands on working approach to assist our sales team.

He/she will essentially work from home but must be based in Greater Halifax area.


Principal functions:


  • Performing research to find new trends in the industry and local market;
  • Create sales strategies and techniques that your sales team can use with customers;
  • Troubleshooting customer issues;
  • Providing data and guidance to the sales team, managing sales tracking tools, and analyzing sales trends (lost sales reports, shipped not invoiced, low margin);
  • Assist to manage projects tracking opportunities (qualify leads, confirm local contacts, coordinate local learning opportunities, assist with forecasting);
  • Assist with Conferences and planning customer relation events;
  • Develop marketing material in collaboration with the National Initiatives Team;
  • Support on pricing, credit issues and local freight arrangements;
  • Maintain up to date Data Sheets/SDS;
  • Assist with negotiations and development of key contracts;
  • CSR support when required (vacation, illness etc);
  • Assist sales team with quotes;
  • Coordinate local education sessions with engineering and architectural firms (nondirect customers);
  • Investigate new product opportunities, new market segments, new customers;
  • Maintain social media posts.

Requirements and competences:


  • Highschool degree; postsecondary degree (an asset);
  • 3 to 5 years in a similar position;
  • Experience in insulation (an asset);
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (D365 an asset);
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Spoken and written English: Excellent;
  • Interpersonal relationship and communication skills;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Versatility, creativity, curiosity;
  • Autonomy.
