How will you contribute to the team?

  • Passion for Health and Safety, willing to be an active and engaged leader, driving H&S performance excellence.
  • Directly responsible for the daily leadership, development & management of all Onshore Inspections.
  • A desire to support the development and ongoing initiatives of the organization's digital services and innovation portfolio.
  • Assist, support, and coordinate with Project Managers and other business partners with the goal of meeting and delivering client services.
  • Drive business process improvements for daytoday work.
  • Identify and develop best practices across the entire team to drive service productivity.
  • Develop and implement strategies that improve the customer experience, business revenues, internal productivity, and operational efficiency, and KPI's.
  • Resource planning and supervision of Onshore and Offshore Inspection Teams.
  • Promotion and development planning of technical and professional skills to advance our Inspection Teams capabilities.
  • Assist in competency evaluations and recommendations for growth.
  • Responsible for the Warehouse, Yard and Equipment inventory and maintenance programs.
  • Primary liaison with clients for delivery of onshore services.

What will you contribute ?

_ Required - _

  • 710 years practical experience in one or a combination of the following disciplines: Lifting, NDT and CWB Inspections.
  • LEEA Foundation, General and Lifting Machines Manual Certifications.
  • Extensive technical knowledge to support lifting and hoisting relating inspections for all fixed hoists and cranes (monorail cranes, gantry cranes, etc.), loose lifting gear (chain falls, slings, hoists, trolleys, etc.), fixed lifting points (monorails, pad eyes etc.), fall protection and abseiling equipment, lifting hooks and blocks, wire ropes and platform pedestal crane structural components.
  • Certification and experience with inspection of offshore containers.
  • Fall protection inspection certification.
  • Extensive knowledge of inspections in accordance with the requirements of CAPP Atlantic Canada Safe Lifting Practice, ASME, CWB, NDT, DNV and Lloyds Register standards.
  • Exceptional use and knowledge in Microsoft 365 Suite.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and to work flexible hours.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver License and acceptable driver abstract.

_ Desired - _

  • CWB Level 3 Certification would be considered an asset.
  • CGSB NDT Certifications or equivalent.
  • Completion of 2 Year technical program would be desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to recognize and resolve conflict.
  • Adaptable and resourceful and show initiative, dependability, and innovation.
  • Experience working in Labor Relations.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization.

_ Additional Information - _

  • This role is a 40hour week Monday to Friday with offshore assignments as deemed necessary by the business.
  • Must successfully complete a medical assessment, fitness for work and all regulatory offshore readiness training.
  • The ability and willingness to continue with higher level professional training and development is an integral focus area.
