Marketing Optimization Specialist


Reporting to the Director, Commercial Operations, the Marketing Optimization Specialist will work closely with the Commercial and Operations teams to lead marketing programs through data intelligence.

Working in an Industrial business-to-business environment, the successful individual will be responsible for elevating Stuart Olson's brand awareness, executing digital media strategy, while disrupting the medium of how marketing content is typically consumed.

Responsibilities

Marketing

  • Lead the development of annual marketing plans in conjunction with the Commercial Operations team focusing on strategic growth, goals and specific target markets.
  • Lead the scheduling and distribution of marketing content on all social media platforms.
  • Develop understanding of competitor & client presence to ensure delivery of Stuart Olson marketing initiatives are optimized and reach target audiences.
  • Work with Stuart Olson MRO's proposals team to ensure alignment and integration of marketing efforts & trends are integrated into the strategic pursuits process.
  • Drive Stuart Olson brand awareness towards critical markets in support of strategic growth initiatives (clients, current & potential employees etc).
  • Identify and maintain registrations of associations, events, conferences and clients to enhance Stuart Olson's brand in the market; coordinate promotional activities/events across Canada.
  • Support coordination & organization of annual client events and client gifting.

Data Analysis and Web Development

  • Develop quantification and understanding of marketing channels, respective metrics to define return on investment and continuous improvement opportunities to drive optimized marketing value.
  • Reviewing marketing campaign results such as reach, or engagement
  • Synthesize findings and recommend how a business should proceed with its marketing efforts
  • Lead and manage the continuous improvement of the Stuart Olson web page.
  • Work with the Corporate Communications Team to support the updates of and upgrades to the Industrial Group's internet portal and websites.
  • Work with Stuart Olson MRO's Digital Content team to ensure captured and developed content is in alignment with marketing plans and trends to ensure delivery to target markets.
  • Identify key marketing channels to reach target markets.

Project Management

  • Work with the Director, Commercial Operations and Operations teams in management of marketing budget and plan to ensure strategic initiatives are executed.
  • Support the vision, development of strategies, implementation, continuous improvement, and stewardship of Stuart Olson (MRO) marketing initiatives on a countrywide basis.
  • Create and implement business specific communication strategies in alignment with the Corporate Communications team.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial, Operations and Stuart Olson MRO's Senior Leadership Team on marketing and advertising strategies that are strategically focused and flexible depending on current business and market trends.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree/diploma in marketing, business, data analytics or other related field.
  • 35 years' experience in with SEO and SEM/PPC marketing, social media marketing, channel marketing and/or marketing campaign management.
  • Proficient in Google products (Ads, analytics, GTM, Google 360), Social Media Advertising (Facebook Ad Manager), Content Management Systems (WordPress, Sitefinity), marketing automation and CRM software (HubSpot) and Social Media channels (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn).
  • Experience in understanding of digital / online marketing metrics to drive continuous improvement efforts.
