We are currently looking to hire several long-term work-from-home transcription typists. This role is a contractor position and is paid per page.


Responsibilities

  • Typing verbatim transcripts of prerecorded audio and video legal proceedings.
  • Learning and following client house rules (i.e. clientspecific preferences in formatting, spelling, capitalization, and editing conventions)
  • Holding all thirdparty (client) information in the strictest confidentiality
  • Reviewing completed work to identify potential areas of selfimprovement

Requirements:


  • Strong English grammar and comprehension
  • Ability to understand global accents
  • Minimum 80 Words per Minute typing speed
  • Computer literacy with strong MS Word skills
  • Strong command of a second language beyond English is preferred
  • Current RCMP criminal background check Level 1 upon hiring.

Compensation

  • The pay scale for the WFH typing work will be as follows:


  • Insurance interview

  • $0.80/audio minute
  • 25 lines discovery $1.00/page
  • 27 lines court template $1.00/page
  • 41 lines court template $1.70/page
  • 47 lines court template
- $2.00/page

  • In the WFH role, you will be expected to process at least 200 minutes of audio per week.
  • The minimum amount of minutes to request is 200 minutes/week
