Corrpro Canada is seeking a Temporary Safety Assistant.


Corrpro, an Aegion company, is Canada's largest corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business for the protection and preservation of infrastructure.

Corrpro provides professional corrosion consulting and cathodic protection engineering services to major oil companies, government agencies, municipal water, sewer and gas utilities, universities, and public transportation agencies.

Corrpro has complete construction installation services, including crews and equipment to install any type of cathodic protection system for any type of structure.

Provide administrative support to the Safety & Human Resources Departments in the areas of reporting, employee programs, benefits, process audits, program development, training and mentoring, company policies and procedures

Act as a point of contact regarding Safety matters and coordinate with Safety Coordinator for resolution on questions or issues

Support the Safety Coordinator and HR Generalist with day-to-day department needs

Prepare departmental documents, such as reports, organizational charts and company announcements

Provide administrative support to the Safety department for all Preemployment test bookings

Handle all daily routine administrative clerical duties, as needed

Serve as administrative liaison for other departments and offices

Support the Safety department with company safety databases, including intranet and internet databases (SharePoint, Smartsheets, Workhub, etc.), as well as reviewing and approving Workhub forms

Support Safety Coordinator with office emergency evacuation and coordinate annual fire drill, monthly fire extinguisher inspections and office inspections

Support Safety and HR department with Employee New Hire Orientation, including scheduling Safety training

Support the WCB case management process

Support Safety Coordinator with issuing PPE, maintaining inventory, and PPE and review inspection

Create and maintain employee files from new hire status though termination

Respond to employees in a professional and efficient manner

Develop and maintain a communication system to promote understanding of Human Resources Department programs and practices for supervisors and employees

Maintain all records, documents, and HR-related matters in strict confidence


QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of analytical and administrative experience within Safety Departments

Knowledge of WCB case management process helpful

Professional and positive interpersonal communication skills, including experience working with confidential information are a must

Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a high paced work environment

Experience with Workday or other HRIS preferred

Experience working in an engineering and/or construction industry, especially in the Oil and Gas sector preferred
