Altus Group is currently seeking a Legal Coordinator to join its global legal team, reporting to the Associate General Counsel.

This role will be responsible for providing administrative and legal support to Altus Group's global legal team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft correspondence, agreements, and other documents under the supervision of an attorney. Prepare checklists, legal opinions, schedules, exhibits and presentation materials. Proofread and redline documents, correspondence, memoranda, and other documents to ensure accuracy and appropriate grammar and punctuation. Edit and finalize documents and prepare for distribution and facilitate collection of signatures.
  • Assist legal team members with adherence to operating procedures, including document storage, file management, legal playbooks, contract lifecycle management and other procedures.
  • Coordinate, organize, and host meetings on behalf of the legal team; report KPIs on key operational performance metrics
  • Manage legal invoice administration and payment. Assist with the tracking and management of spend against legal department budget and assist with preparation of monthly accruals.
  • Monitor progress of transactions. Assemble financial data, corporate records, and other documents related to legal matters. Inform attorney or relevant department member of changes affecting the matter.
  • Initiate projectrelated communications with other departments, track deliverables related to projects, and in consultation with an attorney or other member of the legal department, assemble, organize, and integrate the information received into documents, plans, reports and/or filing systems, other administrative duties as needed.
  • Facilitate and plan legal events and offsites; Assist with the setup, organizing, indexing, and maintenance of personal and department files and records for matters and issues, as appropriate. Maintain department's legal matter tracking system for electronic billing and matter management and generate reports, as appropriate.
  • Maintain a tickler system to track deadlines and followup and respond to requests made by attorneys and others.
  • Conduct legal and general research under the direction of attorneys and other members of the legal and compliance department. As well as review and edit basic contracts.
  • Organize large amounts of information efficiently and effectively utilizing Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint, OneDrive, and document management systems.

Key Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail, the ability to work independently, solve problems proactively and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to track against a deadline to ensure deadline is met and communicate promptly if deadline cannot be met.
  • Strong computer skills, including a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint, OneDrive, and document management systems.
  • Excellent legal and business research skills desired.
  • Contract review experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in partnering with and supporting a fastpaced sales or business development organization to close deals; strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple timesensitive projects simultaneously in such an environment to help drive deals to close
  • High personal standards of excellence and ethics, as well as the ability to act with discretion, strict confidentiality and sensitivity towards issues and individuals
  • Undergraduate degree required and a minimum of four years' experience in legal operational and technical support as a legal assistant or paralegal (or equivalen
