About this position:


Responsibilities:


Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee A/V requirements for public and education programming, including proactive logístical planning and scheduling tasks to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Execute internal programs with highquality A/V support, managing the technical aspects of events from setup to teardown.
  • Train and supervise A/V tech staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high performance standards.
  • Maintain A/V equipment inventory, conducting regular checks and coordinating repairs or replacements as needed. Other duties as assigned.
  • Liaise with external artists and clients to understand their technical needs and preferences, facilitating walkthroughs and providing technical expertise.
  • Coordinate internal events with thirdparty suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, setup, and teardown of equipment and technical support.
  • Ensure compliance with NMC policies and safety standards, conducting regular safety checks and providing necessary training to staff and volunteers.
  • Act as a scheduling steward, coordinating and optimizing event schedules to maximize efficiency and resource utilization.

Qualifications:


  • Proficiency in live audio/video and lighting production, with experience in logístical planning and scheduling tasks.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in music production preferred, with a solid understanding of event equipment and technologies.
  • Be a strong team player with exemplary leadership skills and positive attitude.
  • Have strong organizational and logístical skills with attention to detail and accuracy; able to multitask and manage time wisely.
  • Flexibility to work fulltime hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
