Purpose:

The Post-Award Administrator provides excellent service to researchers in the Faculty of Health by assisting with the post-award administration of research grants and contracts.

Reporting to the Research Operations Manager, the Post-Award Administrator works as part of the Health Research Support Office team, liaising closely with offices across campus, to support research post-award administration and to facilitate the resolution of post-award issues.

In addition to serving as a key resource for Health's researchers, this position also provides budget and administrative support for budget functions within the Health Research Support Office.

Education:

University Degree in a related field with relevant administrative, financial, accounting courses or four (4) years recent experience (defined as within the last five years) working at York University performing the same or similar tasks.

This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.

Experience:

University Degree with a minimum of 1-2 recent years of experience in a research or related institutional environment (e.g. university, research hospital, funding agency).

Work experience or formal education includes financial and post-award administration processes relevant to research such as project accounting, financial monitoring and analysis for research grants or contracts.

Progressive experience in research or related institutional environment such as university, research hospital, funding agency is an asset.
