Description

The RIS/PACS Specialist is an essential member of the Imaging team who is responsible for system and work flow analysis, data analysis and implements and maintains the clinical computer-supported operations for the Medical Imaging Program.


Essential Qualifications

  • Post secondary school graduate in a diagnostic imaging field or information services
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience within medical imaging, preferably in supporting radiology information systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of Radiology dictation system and its integration with the EMR and PACS systems
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing process redesign
  • Detailed knowledge of HCRM finance system
  • Detailed knowledge of Ministry of Health Schedule of Benefits
  • Detailed knowledge of Management Information System Standards, workload reporting and IHE standards
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills, using lean sigma six methodology
  • Demonstrated customer service focus with superior interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and relate to others
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately with attention to detail
  • Self directed with demonstrated flexibility to meet the changing needs of the department
  • Ability to develop training material and teach staff on current technology
  • Experience with designing and facilitating learning opportunities using adult education principles
  • PACS Administration Certificate or relative experience
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in French would be an asset

Immunization Requirements

  • Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid19 vaccine and a written commitment to follow any future Public Health recommendations and St. Joseph's Health Care London policies and processes related to Covid management in the workplace.
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
