The Business Analyst provides analysis and support for multiple business and process information systems in the IT portfolio of systems with the main responsibility for Microsoft Dynamics 365.

This support includes back-office, operational, user and development support, to all users of the systems including division management.

This position designs technical ERP solutions, resolves system issues, maintains system software and documentation, develops training materials, provides necessary training, writes, and performs system tests, supports field equipment, and directs internal and external personnel in correcting identified system issues.

Responsibilities:


  • Review, analyze and define current/future state system processes and develop functional and technical specifications, diagrams, and flowcharts for identified development, system modifications, and implementation tasks.
  • Research and resolve system processing issues on a timely basis; Provide support for users to ensure proper usage and processing; Respond to issues and recommend system revisions and improvements and follow up with user and other I.T. personnel until issues are resolved.
  • Maintain business and process information systems including configuration, code, jobs, reports, test plans, and documentation and assist other IT personnel in support of technical issues.
  • Coordinate revisions to software and set priorities for completion, test modifications to systems, and distribute to users. Preventative maintenance on business systems.


  • Testing

  • Write test plans and assist developers with system testing as part of the release management process. Mentors less experienced members of the support team in developing thorough test plans.
  • Design, build, test and deploy ERP technical solutions. Mentor and develop junior team members.


  • Training

  • Develops training plans. Provide training to system users on specialized IT systems as well as on Microsoft office systems, if necessary.


  • Release management

  • Participate in all stages of release management of IT business and process information systems to ensure that systems and documentation are maintainable and meet life cycle process standards established by management.
  • Provide system support and assistance in all areas related to information technology while resolving issues with direct guidance.
  • Solve complex business problems in the areas of finance, operations, human capital, customer, and governance, risk, and compliance, using ERP technologies.
  • Assists in developing transition plans for moving older and newly developed systems from the development team to the customer support team. Able to work with general guidance to resolve system issues.
  • Assists in developing plans for retiring existing systems and transitioning to new systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems by conferring with customers by phone, in person or remotely; both technical and nontechnical.
  • Monitor the progress of assigned tasks to ensure timelines are met in a ticketing system.
  • Participate in oncall rotation or oncall by expertise for afterhours P1 resolution.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • Equivalent Education Required: Undergraduate college degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience plus bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience configuring and supporting modules of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for supply chain (sales, inventory, distribution, maintenance), finance and operations.
  • Experience with Power App and Power BI.
years related experience in information systems development and/or support. Some experience should be in customer support, problem solving, or maintenance environment.

  • Excellent problemsolving skills required.
  • Strong knowledge of business functions/processes in procure to pay, sales to cash, asset management and finance/accounting principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer systems and IT life cycle development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of business unit management required in English and French.
  • Knowledge of mill systems, forestry, and/or paper/pulp manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Strong accounting and/or finance knowledge is a plus.
