Responsibilities:


  • Preparing and cooking meals
  • Serving food, dishwashing and cleaning
  • Other kitchen and food preparation duties as required
  • Operate related equipment
  • Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing with clients and staff
  • Providing direction to staff helping with meal prep and serving
  • Interacting and working with clients on dietary needs and requests
  • Be creative and solve problems related to menu and diets with mínimal stress

Requirements:


  • 35 years cooking experience in a fastpaced environment
  • First aid and a valid driver's license
  • Ability to create soups and stocks from scratch
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Attention to detail, an eye for quality, and high standards for customer service
  • Basic computer knowledge (experience with Apple operating systems an asset)
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Strong boundaries and selfcare habits
  • Healthcare experience an asset
  • Experience cooking for large groups or in catering environment an asset
  • Experience cooking in front of individuals and groups an asset

$27.00 per hour

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:


  • Cooking: 3 years (preferred)

Language:


  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
