The Assembler 3 position requires the incumbent to have a high degree of precision, ability to interpret detailed specifications and instructions, and use of independent judgment and knowledge gained by training and experience.
Assemble, troubleshoot and repair of electronic and mechanical assemblies and sub-assembliesDuties & Responsibilities:
- Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points, using soldering, welding, thermo compression, or related bonding procedures and equipment.
- Assembles, tests, and repairs, trouble shoots. Confident use of precision electromechanical equipment, electronic instruments, electronic systems, Engineering drawings, diagrams used to build specialized product
- Operates production line equipment of a level of complexity requiring the specified training or assembling products, units, machines, equipment, and/or subassemblies that are larger, heavier, and/or more complex.
- Assembles products according to customer's needs, follows technical data packages and other necessary specifications.
- Assists more junior operators in performance of skilled function.
- Checks materials prior to processing to assure they meet specifications. Verifies dimensions with measuring instruments, such as micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Electronics Technician certificate would be considered as asset
- Familiarity with IPC 610 and 620 standards
