STENO 3

10 MONTH POSITION

$21.55 TO START, MAX $25.69 per hour

Reporting to the Superintendent of Program (K - 6) and Special Education, through the Executive Assistant, the Steno III co-ordinates and provides administrative and secretarial support for the effective day-to-day operation of the special education department.

Duties include assisting the Executive Assistant and Superintendent with the development of board reports / presentations, correspondence (e.g. schools / parents, etc.), OnSIS reporting / reconciliation, IEP OnLine, SEAC meeting preparation, coordination of Section 23 programs (e.g.

MOU contracts, PowerSchool registration, reporting, etc.), as well as providing day-to-day direct support to the principal(s) of special education, etc.

Qualifications:

Preferred:
Knowledge of Simcoe County District School Board Policies, Administrative Procedures Memoranda and Numbered Memoranda. Knowledge of board approved software, e.g. JD Edwards, registration utility. Previous experience working in an educational environment.
