Reports to:
Manager, IT Infrastructure Operations & Delivery


Reporting to the Manager, IT Infrastructure Operations & Delivery, your role as a supervisor will be to manage the team resources to ensure adequate coverage for all service, incident and change requests as well as customer projects and initiatives that require and are dependent on different infrastructure systems (VMware, backup systems, servers and storage equipment) and to ensure their integrity and availability.

You will also help employees remain focused on their personal and company objectives.


Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:


  • Coordinate and manage the IT Core Infrastructure team, by providing good leadership, coaching and the required training to develop the team's effectiveness and collaboration.
  • Determine teams' priorities and ensure resource availability and adequate assignments on projects, initiatives, and operational tasks.
  • Coordinate and ensure delivery by team members assigned to projects and ensure successful roll out to operations.
  • Be the point of contact for escalations.
  • Set up group and individual objectives and coordinate continuous development training. Carry out performance midyear and yearend evaluations.
  • Ensure support of team members with regular oneonones and team meetings.
  • Support the IT Core Infrastructure group by participating in different IT and business activities involving the team.
  • Evaluate and review support contracts and enterprise licensing agreements with external vendors at renewal.
  • Organize and lead various workshops or meetings with the business and other support teams to align the workforce and efforts to ensure that service expectations are met.
  • Ensure that all proper tools are available, and all IT processes are documented and followed.
  • Ensure the participation of all team members in the development and continuous improvement of work practices, processes, and procedures to optimize team efficiency.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:


  • You hold a Bachelor/College degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent.
  • You have a minimum of 10 years of IT workrelated experience including a minimum of 3 years of experience in supervision of IT resources.
  • Excellent knowledge of Incident, Service request and change processes. Good understanding of the ITIL processes is required.
  • Good knowledge in Virtualization concepts, Server Hardware, Storage equipment and Backup Tools.
  • Good knowledge of Security concepts and experience with IT Auditing activities (SOX).
  • Ability to communicate and network with a variety of individuals, and to influence decisionmaking across the organization in a creative and flexible manner.
  • Ability to manage critical events ensuring to meet business requirements and the ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Known for your leadership and coaching skills, for your teamwork and your customer service focus.
  • Ability to produce documents and presentations.
  • Strong communications skills and fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
  • Comfortable and capable of evolving in a 24X7 production environment.
