Weyerhaeuser's (Engineered Lumber Products) Timberstrand manufacturing Plant, located on beautiful Lake of the Woods in Kenora, Ontario, is currently seeking permanent full-time Certified Mechanical Technician.

Our plant manufactures high strength engineered wood product Timberstrand in a 24/7 operations, non-union, manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead the Certified Mechanical Technician will be responsible for:

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of hydraulic system and components.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical equipment issues
Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
Use SAP for Materials and Work Order Management
Basic welding and fabrication.
Coordinate contractor activities as required.
Keep work area and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
Perform duties and operate equipment in a safe and satisfactory manner
Complete all jobs in a timely manner

Qualifications

Mechanical Trades Qualification in an applicable discipline (must be certified in a mechanical trade).

Years in an industrial environment would be an asset.

Proven analytical troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office.
Must be willing to work on a rotating shift schedule that includes both days and nights, 12hour continuous shifts.
