Accountabilities:
- Knowledge of the cleaning and sterilizing of endoscopes
- Assist clinical team during procedures where appropriate
- Responsible for the cleaning and reprocessing of instrumentation
- Operating sterilizers, washers, pasteurizer and other MDRD equipment
- Monitor supplies, replace stock and case picking, keeping work area tidy
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
- Successful completion of community college Sterile Supply Processing certificate required
- Minimum of two years previous experience in a MDRD role required
- CSAO membership an asset
- Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently
- General knowledge of computers required
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to function independently
- Able to prioritize in a very active environment
- Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
- Must demonstrate Osler Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
- May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites
Additional Information
DURATION:
Approximately fifteen (15) months or until the previous incumbent returns.
Salary:
Minimum:
$27.75 per hour
Maximum:
$28.40 per hour
