Accountabilities:

  • Knowledge of the cleaning and sterilizing of endoscopes
  • Assist clinical team during procedures where appropriate
  • Responsible for the cleaning and reprocessing of instrumentation
  • Operating sterilizers, washers, pasteurizer and other MDRD equipment
  • Monitor supplies, replace stock and case picking, keeping work area tidy
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Successful completion of community college Sterile Supply Processing certificate required
  • Minimum of two years previous experience in a MDRD role required
  • CSAO membership an asset
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently
  • General knowledge of computers required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to function independently
  • Able to prioritize in a very active environment
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
  • Must demonstrate Osler Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
  • May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites

Additional Information

DURATION:
Approximately fifteen (15) months or until the previous incumbent returns.


Salary:


Minimum:
$27.75 per hour


Maximum:
$28.40 per hour
