Your mission


Reporting to the Director of Regional Laboratories, the Laboratory Manager is responsible to achieve the business objectives that have been set for the laboratory.

The incumbent has to consistently monitor and improve the efficiency of the laboratory in terms of quality, productivity, customer service level and profitability.

The incumbent is responsible to manage the team in the branch, as well as developing great relationships with existing or new Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) and with the sales Force.

By working closely with the Region key players, i.e.

the Director of Sales, the Finance Manager and the HR Business Partner, the Lab Manager will ensure that the laboratory performance maximizes profitability, customer service level and quality.


Your main challenges
Facility Management

  • Support all the different tasks and activities in the site to ensure the efficiency, productivity and profitability of facility;
  • Management of operations costs and budgets in relation to the quality of our products and service levels and TAT;
  • Identify opportunities and implement initiatives for increasing business development;
  • Deliver products that meet ESSILOR's quality standard and customer satisfaction;
  • Participate in different management level meetings;
  • Ensure the implementation of commercial policies, guarantees and procedures in force;
  • Be a technical advisor and main contact with customer;
  • Work closely with existing customers and maintain a great partnership and business relations.
Human Resources Management

  • Management of the site's human resources, by ensure the administration, engagement and development of the sites talent and team potential;
  • Manage the team's performance and ensure their objectives are aligned with the company's goals;
  • Ensure clear and efficient communication and training to personnel regarding company policies, product information and any relevant information relating to employees daily tasks;
  • Promote EssilorLuxottica's principles and values.
Production Management

  • Manage of all the different steps of production from the reception and recording of an order to the delivery to our customer;
  • Monitor ongoing production and sales reports to ensure operations efficiencies;
  • Daily management of the production flow (WIP) to ensure our service level commitments;
  • Ensure compliance to the site's EHS regulations.
Management local Suppliers

  • Negotiation of all local delivery, site maintenance and local services providers' contracts;
  • Keep management informed in relation to new or modified contracts;

TRANSVERSAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Your profile

  • University Degree (Administration or a combination of academic relevant experience);
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in operation management,
(Optical, healthcare, and/or retail industry experience strongly preferred);

  • Technical Knowledge in edging & mounting of ophthalmic lenses is a strong asset;
  • Experience in customer service and order management;
  • Proven track record of understanding customer value and satisfying customer requirements
  • Proven ability to lead and maintain teams;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office software (Excel, Power Point, Word);
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Must be able to prioritize and multitask in a fastpaced environment;
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills;
  • Strong analytical skills with a high sense of observation and attention to detail;
  • Licensed optician is an asset.
