Analyst, Financial Reporting - Montréal, Canada - Fairstone
Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participation in quarterly and annual Financial Statements and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A);
- Participation in monthly close;
- Preparation of manual journal entries;
- Daily review of trial balance for unusual activity;
- Completion of monthly reconciliations;
- Ensure compliance with Fairstone processes and internal policies;
- Participation in operational and financial reporting audits;
- Participation in activities related to process improvement and automation;
- Participation in other ad hoc projects as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University graduate;
- Accounting designation (CPA) or in a process of obtaining one;
- Experience working at a large financial institution and a multinational corporation.
- Experience in the financial services industry an asset;
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Logical thinker and detail oriented
- Team player
- Capacity to improve, streamline or automate processes
- Bilingual
