Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participation in quarterly and annual Financial Statements and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A);
Participation in monthly close;
Preparation of manual journal entries;
Daily review of trial balance for unusual activity;
Completion of monthly reconciliations;
Ensure compliance with Fairstone processes and internal policies;
Participation in operational and financial reporting audits;
Participation in activities related to process improvement and automation;
Participation in other ad hoc projects as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

University graduate;
Accounting designation (CPA) or in a process of obtaining one;
Experience working at a large financial institution and a multinational corporation.
Experience in the financial services industry an asset;
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Excellent organization and communication skills
Logical thinker and detail oriented
Team player
Capacity to improve, streamline or automate processes
Bilingual
