Position Overview:
As a Production Supervisor at Sierra Supply Chain Services, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing processes to maximize production line capacity while ensuring exceptional quality and on-time delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance: Maintain product quality standards by overseeing manufacturing processes, scheduling and assigning tasks, establishing priorities, and addressing production-related issues promptly.

Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate production employees, ensuring the achievement of production objectives and compliance with manufacturing procedures. Oversee shipping and receiving operations, aligning them with relevant legislation.

Safety: Foster a safe working environment by educating and directing employees on equipment usage and resource management. Ensure full compliance with OHSA, JHSC recommendations, safety regulations, GMPs, and HACCP protocols.

Accident Reduction: Play an active role in eliminating workplace accidents through proactive safety measures, accident investigations, and effective WSIB case management.

Employee Development: Develop, direct, train, and motivate employees by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, coaching, and implementing necessary disciplinary actions.

Employee Relations: Maintain positive employee relations through effective communication with peers, employees, and managers. Administer the Collective Agreement and company policies.

Administrative Tasks: Complete payroll and attendance records using KRONOS for the department's employees.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancement and support Six Sigma methodologies to drive breakthrough thinking.
Qualifications:
- 35 years of experience in a food production environment, including line lead, team lead, or supervisory roles.
- Experience working with machinery and processes in a Meat production environment is considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders such as Production Managers and Plant Managers.
- Knowledge of HACCP and Provincial Health and Safety Regulations is required.
