Key Responsibilities:

Joining the On-Air team at CTV Regina, this multi-talent and experienced individual will report to the News Director and be responsible for:

  • Anchoring Weather live in studio and on location, for CTV Regina News at Noon, News at Five and News at Six
  • Produce and deliver concise, forecastfocused weather information (including weather graphics, weather updates and web casts).
  • Consulting with Producers, Anchors, Reporters, Assignment Editor, and other Newsroom staff to provide creative input to the production of onair content.
  • Generating strong story ideas and contributing to digital content
  • Assist in driving the show in a positive and productive direction.
  • Representing CTV at community and charity events, and making various public appearances.
  • Other duties as assigned, which may include interviewing or reporting live.

Critical Qualifications:


  • Ideally 12 years of experience as a weather presenter or as an anchor/host in television, radio, or other media.
  • Post-Secondary Education in Broadcasting, or Journalism, English, Film or Drama. Meteorology Degree would be a definite asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect and perform for an audience an asset
  • Familiarity with newsroom management systems (e.g. iNews, etc.) and video editing an asset
  • Knowledge of television production an asset
  • Diver licence
