RDJ Bakeries Ltd is currently looking for a Front Desk Receptionist at our Gluten Free location.

Responsible for managing the front desk on a daily basis and performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.


Duties and Responsibilities
The associate's primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office.
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures).
  • Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
  • Prepare UPS orders when needed.
  • Check vending machines and report any shortage of stock or mechanical failure to company.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk & monitor logbook.
  • Request front office supplies and keep inventory of stock.
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings.
  • Arrange for Taxi service.
  • Daily outgoing office supply inventory sheet.
  • Manage the employee's uniforms.
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, scanning and faxing.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Handson experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers).
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Multitasking and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Customer service attitude.
  • High school degree: additional certification in Office Management is a plus.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.

Working conditions

  • Always work indoors.
  • Usually, the first point of contact that clients and customers have with an organization.
  • Work regular office hours, Monday to Friday.
  • Straight shift work.

Physical requirements

  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Repeat the same movement.
  • Frequent phone calls.
  • Typing.
