EY's Transaction Real Estate practice is currently looking for an Associate with an AACI designation to join our team in Toronto.


EY Orenda Corporate Finance Inc., a specialty practice within EY's Transaction Advisory Services, is the dominant mid-market investment bank in Canada.

Our Transaction Real Estate practice in Canada is part of a team of 500 dedicated real estate transaction professionals located around the globe.

These professionals help plan, execute and integrate their clients' transactions strategy effectively, both domestically and across global markets.


Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of financial models.
  • Valuation of various types of real estate assets and portfolios in support of various types of engagements including core valuation/appraisals, litigation, duediligence and transactions.
  • Compiling and analyzing relevant company and industry information, originating from a broad variety of sources (such as financial databases, industry publications, financial statements and public disclosures)
  • Continuous review of Canadian real estate market trends.
  • Support the team in the preparation of both internal and external presentations.
  • Support the team in business development and marketing initiatives across the country.

Ideal qualifications for this position include

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the real estate industry
  • An AACI designation is required
  • Experience with various types of real estate, including retail, industrial, office, multifamily and land
  • Undergraduate degree (preferably with a focus on real estate and/or finance)
  • A strong understanding of the commercial real estate industry in Canada
  • Working knowledge of Argus
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong computer and financial modeling skills
  • Understanding of key real estate value drivers, risks and opportunities
  • Ability to work in a team environment
