The purpose of the position is to support the hospitals server environment ensuring streamlined operations, in alignment with the hospitals objective.

This includes design, capacity planning, implementation/migrations, monitoring and optimizing. Identify, recommend, and support cost-effective technology solutions for the supported on premise and cloud environments.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Management of enterprise directory services, including Single Signon services, Certificate services, file servers, MS Exchange and relevant cloud based environments
  • Develop and implement procedures for backups, restores and methods to ensure effective protection and integrity of storage and data, including monitoring backup success, failure and backup integrity and regular testing
  • Monitor, optimize and perform operational support, including day to day, system management, administration, hardening, maintenance, services monitoring, including patch and firmware management.
  • Design, establish, and maintain system design, operating and restoration procedures for Business Continuality & Disaster Recovery procedures and plans.
  • Provide end user technical support within defined service levels and training as required
  • Recommend strategic directions, improvements, cost savings, operations upgrades for the hospitals data and related infrastructure based upon projected needs and emerging technologies
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and partnership support teams; liaise with thirdparty support and manage vendor relationships as required.
  • Develop and maintain policies, & operational standards and procedures related to server & data operations to ensure appropriate use, data integrity & security.
  • In collaboration with network administrators, assist in support of network based environment and operations to assist in troubleshooting

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Degree and/or Diploma in the field of computer science or management information systems or related field, or equivalent combination of relevant experience, training and/or education.
  • Proven ability to manage Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
  • Relevant Certifications in: ITIL, Microsoft, Azure, Microsoft 365 or VMware.
  • Resultsoriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
  • Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to adapt readily to change

  • Preference for proficiency in French/English language skills
