Position and Responsibilities


Cameco has a great opportunity available for an enthusiastic, motivated professional to be a part of a diverse team responsible to support Cameco's efforts to build and maintain meaningful, long-term relationships with Indigenous and/or local communities.


In this role you will attend relevant meetings and assist with the coordination of community investment, community engagement and environmental stewardship deliverables as outlined in existing agreements.

You will assist with the coordination of engagement to support ongoing relationship development and meet regulatory requirements. You will support the development and/or implementation of newly established or existing programs.

You will be responsible to maintain relevant records and reporting as it pertains to community and Indigenous engagement to demonstrate regulatory compliance and fulfill commitments outlined in our existing agreements.


This position is a hybrid work position with the expectation to be in office at least three days a week.

This position will require up to 20% travel on an annual basis.


Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, commerce, public relations, communications, or in a related field
  • Three to five years of experience working with Indigenous peoples. Experience with managing and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills

Assets:

  • Experience developing reports for a variety of audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
