The Team

Key Responsibilities:
- Diving activities to support the project.
- Acting as a topsite diver, as needed.
- Marine water quality monitoring and marine mammal observation.
- Completing all environmental, postconstruction and diverelated reports, forms, logs, and data uploads.
- Taking site photographs and videos as needed.
- Deckhand support, as needed.
- Light civil work at landing sites.
- Onshore/onsite light construction activities including cable pull, assisting with the installation of poles, digging for subsurface vaults, and laying split pipe (when not supporting with diving).
- Promoting a safe working culture, complying with all safety protocols, and maintaining safety certifications required for diving work.
- Any other diving duties as determined by the Environmental Field Coordinator or Marine Ops Manager.
- Qualified Commercial Diver certification is required.
- Medical clearance for underwater diving is required.
- Emergency O2 certification is required.
- SVOP is considered an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of the intertidal regions of the BC coast.
- Sound knowledge of field survey techniques, and construction methodologies.
- Willingness to work alongside the construction team from time to time to get the job done efficiently and on time.
- Experience conducting marine and terrestrial vegetation surveys, abalone & marine species salvage and relocation considered an asset.
- Willing to work in the unpredictable weather of the West Coast of BC.
- Comfortable working on boats in the open ocean in allweather scenarios.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Marine First Aid considered an asset.
- Flexibility to work remotely and on an oncall schedule.
- Must be double vaccinated and provide a valid COVID19 vaccination record.
Who will you be working with?
You will be collaborating with our various departments including Environmental, Operations, and Construction staff, but reporting directly to our Environmental Manager.
The team's expertise and project tasks are diverse, presenting an opportunity for collaboration among team members to mentor and learn from each other.
