    We're now looking for a Research Director in our Toronto office, a role crucial for direct interaction with clients and spearheading inventive research for top-tier agencies and brands across North America. As an integral part of our rapidly expanding team, your contributions will directly influence our future growth and success. You'll devise new strategies and manage existing client engagements. Your role spans across all facets of our business, from crafting proposals, designing research, implementing projects, analyzing data to providing recommendations. You must comprehend research methodologies, our operational processes, and new product offerings. You'll be expected to guide clients on research best practices and effective utilization of our software.

    As a seasoned research consultant and industry specialist, you have proven expertise in utilizing both quantitative and qualitative research methods to address significant business objectives. You have a reputation for excellence in client management, creativity, meticulousness, and strategic insight in delivering research results and providing consultative recommendations. You are tech-savvy and flourish in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You take pride in going above and beyond for clients and devising innovative solutions to cater to their needs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Steer multiple intricate research projects, act as the main client contact, proactively identify client needs, communicate study progress, and resolve any issues
    • Strategize and creatively execute research design, analysis, and reporting
    • Comprehend and apply advanced analytics, sampling, and weighting where necessary
    • Conduct client presentations, workshops, and data discussions to ensure project success
    • Augment the use of Maru/Blue's services within current accounts for consistent revenue growth
    • Mentor junior researchers and promote professional development
    • Ensure comprehensive quality control throughout the project process, including proficient financial management to ensure profitability of projects/accounts
    • Craft engaging proposals and programs to win, retain, and expand enterprise-level clients
    • Familiarity with a wide range of research methodologies and techniques will be an asset

    Experience:

    • At least 6 years' experience in marketing research
    • Bachelor's degree required, postgraduate degree favored
    • Experience across various research categories (e.g., product development, service optimization, brand positioning, etc.)
    • Ability to design studies, write questionnaires, and develop insightful, actionable reports
    • Proficiency in using online survey tools for quantitative surveys
    • Experience managing multiple, complex, high-value projects simultaneously
    • Understanding of the fundamentals of analytics, weighting, and sampling
    • Familiarity with SPSS is a plus, but not a requirement
    • Technologically adept with a willingness to learn new software and techniques
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
