    Supervisor, Continuous Improvements



    Position Status:
    Full-Time Temporary (Position duration until July 18, 2025)

    Salary Range/Wage Rate:
    Professional/Technical, Level P3A ($123, $145,395.95 annually)

    Our Water Services Department is looking for an enthusiastic and results-oriented professional to join our team as a Supervisor, Continuous Improvements in Metro Vancouver. Join us in spearheading operational excellence and efficiency across our department.


    You are:
      • Adept in LeanSS principles and experienced in process optimization and trend analyses in Power BI.
      • An independent individual enthusiastic about instigating positive changes.
      • Equipped with strong leadership and communication skills.
      • An effective identifier of areas in operations that require enhancements.

    This role:
    • Directs the continuous improvement function.
    • Manages a team of continuous improvement personnel and consultants focused on enhancing business practices.
    • Acts as a strategic advisor overseeing the development, implementation, and assessment of improvement strategies.
    • Assesses the efficacy of plans and adjusts them as necessary to optimize practices.
    • Plays a pivotal role in transitioning manual data analysis to Power BI.
    • Prioritizes initiatives and allocates resources effectively to address continuous improvement needs.
    • Prepares and advocates for organizational improvement plans.
    • Supervises staff and ensures adherence to workplace policies.

    To succeed in this role, you have:
    • A university degree in Applied Science, Science, Finance, or a related field.
    • 5-7 years of relevant experience in continuous improvement or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • A professional designation such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, or PROSCI Change Management (preferred).
    • Comprehensive knowledge of departmental and corporate policies and procedures.
    • The ability to develop and implement strategic improvement plans.
    • Aptitude for problem-solving and decision-making under broad direction.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to guide managers on improvement methods.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and a valid BC Class 5 Driver's License.
