Reporting to:
Director of Post Production

Purpose:
Why you're here at 9 Story Media Group

  • To assist the Editors in delivering highquality content by building HD render animation assemblies, support live review and approve screenings, organization of projects and assets to be delivered to the Online Department and external vendors, for all assigned episodes within agreed scope and in collaboration with the Editors.

  • Editorial assistance in:
  • Animation assemblies
  • Preparation & Organization of Live Action camera media (where applicable)
  • Animation Reviews and Live Screenings
  • Organize and Edit Animation and HD Render Pickups, ReTakes and Revisions
  • Screener Exports and other daily deliverables
  • Episode preparation for Online and Post Audio

Measurements:
How we measure it

  • High quality, on schedule delivery of assigned episodes through all phases, within defined project scope
  • Feedback from Editors, Post Production Coordinators, Post Production Supervisors

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities: What you are regularly responsible for doing
  • Assembling animation in Adobe Premiere.
  • Organizing media clips in Adobe Premiere
  • Generating exports for animation and HD Render reviews
  • Tracking and Organizing animation sequences.
  • Cutting in revisions, pickups, retakes ensuring correct versions are in the sequence.
  • Updating all trackers in a timely manner.
  • Processing live action dailies (where applicable)
  • Exporting screeners from Premiere/Media Encoder for internal and client review.
  • Preparing and delivering locked cuts for Post Audio and Online.
  • Assisting the editor(s) with other editorial tasks as needed.

Key Requirements

Knowledge

  • A solid understanding of broadcast video technology, video formats, and the Post Production process.
  • An understanding of the 2D/3D animation pipeline and processes (desirable).
Experience

  • Prior assistant editor or editor experience in longform TV/Film and/or animation productions.
Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of NLE software, primarily Adobe Premiere
  • Basic Photoshop and After Effects skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Autodesk Shotgrid (desirable)
