The Group Benefits Financial Reporting & Analysis team is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to enable effective management decision-making.


In this role, your primary responsibility will be:

  • Analyze, prepare, distribute comprehensive reporting templates to the business lines for the monthly, quarterly and annual planning processes (Key performance Indicators, Quarterly Financial Review and supporting documents).
  • Consolidate business unit data, explain variance and draft commentaries.
  • Prepare reporting packages presented in finance meetings.
  • Validate Supplementary Financial Information prior to release.
  • Compile rating agency surveys and Yearend Regulatory Reporting.
  • Prepare adhoc analysis as required.

Competencies:


  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and Frenchspeaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide.
  • University degree with major in Accounting or Finance
  • 12 years financial analysis/accounting work experience
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving skills, ability to gather, synthesize, organize, report and communicate information.
  • Strong MS Office and excellent Excel skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure

Assets:


  • Working knowledge of MS Access
  • Knowledge of financial services industry and/or insurance business processes and products

Notes/Unique Requirements:


  • Overtime and flexible work hours may be required during peak reporting periods
