As a Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating/managing the sourcing and suppliers for the assigned portfolio at our Mississauga manufacturing plant.

The role supports sourcing activities for various local/international, strategic/non-strategic suppliers, using standard sourcing processes and systems; adheres to and supports supplier agreements, sourcing/saving projects, reporting, NPI implementation and other strategic company initiatives at the site level.

Reporting directly to the Director, Supply Chain this position is based in Mississauga, Ontario. This position is 100% based in office.


Major Accountability:

  • Obtain quotes to mitigate cost increases, negotiate cost savings initiatives and set up agreements to promote ontime delivery and quality products.
  • Timely resolution of supply issues and work with Engineering to source alternates for production shortages.
  • Gather, review and analyze supply chain data, including KPIs, financial reports and other key metrics using data analytics tools.
  • Support Engineering changes through implementation.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and evaluates supplier bids, and negotiates prices and agreement terms for assigned portfolio.
  • Assists with sourcing activities such as price increases, Engineering changes, NPI projects implementation and savings initiatives.
  • Assist with supplier development, relationship, and metrics achievement.
  • Participate in supplier nonconformance escalation calls, when necessary.
  • Support production shortages by finding alternates to keep production line running.
  • Monitor savings, tooling assets, contract management and compliance documentation.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of compliance documentation with industry regulations (USMCA, Conflict Minerals, RoHs, REACH)

Qualifications:


Skills & Abilities:

  • Prior sourcing experience and industry knowledge in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good quantitative, analytical, and financial skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and influence.
  • Project a professional image in representing the organization.
