We are looking for a Truck & Coach Technician (310T) at our Walker Gro-Bark Processing Facility in Caledon, ON. The Truck & Coach Technician is responsible for specialized equipment maintenance at our Caledon yard. This includes screening equipment, grinders, hydraulics and loaders. The incumbent utilizes organization and problem solving skills to prioritize equipment repairs. All work performed shall comply with health and safety and environmental legislation, policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform maintenance and complex repairs to equipment such as screeners, grinders, bulldozers and loaders.
  • Implement a preventative maintenance program on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and requirements.
  • Repair or replace defective components using hand and power tools.
  • Design, weld and manufacture custom parts when needed.
  • Exercise good judgement and discretion in prioritizing maintenance repairs.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to established safety protocols and best work practices.

Qualifications:


  • At least 5 years' experience as a licensed Truck & Coach Technician (310T).
  • CAT & Volvo equipment is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details to make sure work is done correctly and thoroughly.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety, and environmental regulations and legislation.
  • Able to work with limited supervision and to take discretionary action as required.
  • Proactive anticipates and initiates action to meet needs.
