  • The Community and Partner Engagement Department is looking for a temporary fulltime Administrative Coordinator l for approximately one (1) year.
    Responsibilities
  • You will provide administrative support to the Director and senior staff across the department in the areas of Business Services, Economic Development and Communications. This includes assembling and analyzing information and reports on a variety of administrative processes and issues; assisting with drafting internal documents and materials; relieving staff of administrative duties, assisting with the coordination of City initiatives and programs; coordinating and compiling budget submissions; monitoring capital and operating budget accounts; payroll; and providing assistance to technical staff on projects. This position will provide support to the Economic Development and Business Services Division focused on continuous improvements in the delivery of programs and services to the business community including the organization and implementation of business information sessions and events, the compilation and analysis of consolidated data for Council reports, the preparation of reports related to business development programs, and support to the organization and engagement of external stakeholders.

Requirements:


  • You will have considerable related work experience supplemented by business administration courses, with a preference for a Certificate in Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You will have knowledge of the administrative functions of the department and of the rules, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to the work performed as well as the ability to make decisions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Strong interpersonal and communications skills are required along with the ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public. You will have a keyboarding speed of 50 wpm and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    Compensation
- $30.94 to $36.39 per hour- (Pay Grade 1
  • January 2021 rates) (Provisional)
    Hours of Work
  • The City of North Vancouver currently works on a compressed work schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with one scheduled day off (Monday or Friday) approximately each threeweek scheduling cycle.
