The Shipper/Receiver is a key member of the Supply Chain group and is part of a team that is, among other things, responsible for ensuring we have the right material, in the proper location, at the right time.

Additionally, Inventory Control is a key accountability for this position, including timely physical movements of materials, along with the corresponding electronic inventory transactions in our material planning computer system (Visual Manufacturing).

Add to this the responsibility for loading and unloading trucks with our new state-of-the-art electric counterbalance forklifts.


Hours of work are shift-based, generally day shift (7:00 AM - 3:15 PM, Monday to Friday) and afternoon shift (3:00 PM - 11:15 PM, Monday to Friday).

Some overtime (Saturdays) is needed during our busy periods, but we strive to be as flexible as possible in our scheduling.


Here are some of the different activities you'll be asked to do:

  • Ensure component materials are received and Quality released prior to storing in rack locations or delivered to Production.
  • Maintain documentation regarding materials being returned to stock.
  • Safely load and unload trucks.
  • Check materials received against the packing list/bill of lading.
  • Perform daily safety and/or verification checklists for lift and weighing equipment.

  • Minimum 2 years' forklift operating experience, with reach forklift experience is an asset.
  • Minimum high school diploma (postsecondary education will be considered an asset).
  • Aboveaverage computer skills (Outlook, Excel) experience with inventory control software an asset (i.e. SAP, JD Edward, Visual Manufacturing).
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Day and afternoon shift availability and willingness for overtime.
