Blackbird Security looking to expand our team to service an exciting new project in
Downtown Vancouver, BC. We are hiring a
Security and Protective Services Officer with prior military / policing experience for high-priroity client site.
Security professionals need to maintain a valid security license, exercise responsibility, use caution, demonstrate exemplary customer service skills and intervene to provide protective services during emergencies to ensure the safety of the client's site.

Days and hours of work:
- Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm
Responsibilities
- Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft
- Operate in a professional, businesscentered environment where customer service, confidentiality, and integrity are held to a high standard.
- Intervene to deescalate security breaches and emergencies.
- Patrol the premises, provide access control and respond to emergency situations in an appropriate and timely manner
- Deter admittance of unauthorized persons to the client's premises
- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons
- Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required
- Assist site management with emergencies and adhoc security requests.
- Communicate all safety and security hazards to management.
- Holds a BC Security License.
- Holds a valid AST authorization to use and carry handcuffs.
- Prior police / military experience is required.
- Proven experience responding to critical emergencies and security breaches.
- Prior security industry experience is highly preferred
- Expereince arresting / detaining in previous roles.
- Tech savvy
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills'
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Willingness to commute to downtown Vancouver

Salary:
$19.00-$28.00 per hour

- DCS / DEC (preferred)
Experience:
- Security: 5 years (required)
- Military / Policing: 5 years (required)

- Advanced Security Training (required)
