Manager, IT Operations
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain highly available systems in a diverse environment consisting of VMWare, Hyper-V hosts and several SANs using 3rd party providers.
- Administer and configure all equipment, hardware and software adhering to company standards, and policies while maintaining appropriate documentation on all systems and procedures.
- Administer and support Active Directory including user management and access level controls.
- Optimize and maintain infrastructure by evaluating performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency in a dynamic, fastpaced environment with multiple simultaneous projects, and often rapidly changing priorities.
- Act as tier 2 support for complex issues.
- Participate in providing 24/7 oncall support, as well as weekend and overnight maintenance activities as required.
- Deploy and maintain Azure IaaS Virtual Machines and Azure Application and Networking Services to support growth into the cloud.
- Optimize Azure buildouts for cost/performance (VM optimization, reserved instances, etc.)
- Act as a mentor to others on the team.
- Office 365/OneDrive/SharePoint Online Administration.
- MS Intune Administration.
- DOS & PowerShell scripting for Windows and M36
- Server and Endpoint patching.
- Monitor and maintain backup and DR systems.
- Participate in the annual DR test.
- Provide audit support for ITGC.
- To provide all aspects of technical support for Windows based systems and SQL Server database in a proactive and reactive mode and ensure the systems perform within the terms of their respective service level agreements.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, processes and procedures and updating of such documents on regular basis.
- Provide status reports of projects to the management.
- To support and adhere to company security policies.
- Expected to provide afterhours support, including the occasional weekend/evening to perform upgrades, repairs, or troubleshooting.
- Expected to deliver results within given time frames, ensuring that the standard of your work is maintained. You will be expected to document your work in line with team standards.
- Keep up to date with industry technology and advice on skill gaps and approaches.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of IT work experience
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS and MS SQL administration server
- Expertise in diagnosing complex infrastructure and stability issues
- Experience working with thirdparty and cloudbased vendors
- Proficiency in Windows Desktop OS and Windows Server Administration
- Strong knowledge of incident, problem, and change management process implementation
- Selfstarter, capable of meeting tight deadlines and occasional overtime
- Effective communication and ability to work well under pressure
- Conscientious problemsolving with a strong sense of ownership
- Efficient time management and proactive reporting
- Attention to detail, diligence, and professionalism
- Excellent customerfacing skills
- Experience working as part of a team
- Competence in multitasking, prioritization, and aligning system support with business cycles
